The IBO people

When the white people first arrive and the Ibo don’t know what to expect. The first thing the Ibo’s do when they see the whit man is kill him because they were told that more were going to come and kill the rest of the Ibo’s. This was not a welcome sign for the white people more like a warning sign and instead of listening to the white men they still come and try to convert some of the Ibo’s. At first the Ibo’s did not understand what they were saying but one young man became very interest in the Christian religion; Nwoye. The attitude towards the Ibo was that their religion was wrong and if they were to convert
Their God would save them. Since the white men were trying to tell them that everything they believed in was wrong and the Ibo people weren’t happy to hear this. Since they Britain’s believe that the Ibo’s way of life is wrong that they thought they would welcome them with open arms and want to be saved. All of the white people just wanted to take of the Ibo people and dictate their life and when the Ibo people did not go along with their plan they didn’t understand why because they thought they were helping. Since the white people thought they were right and when the Ibo people reacted they never knew why because to the Ibo people they were doing wrong on to them. So there was no way they could ever have peace unless one race left.
